Jhild, thank you very much for posting the article about the Methodist minister who was tried by his peers and was NOT removed from his job because he performed a unity ceremony for a lesbian couple.

Homosexual human and civil rights is a very important social issue in America today, and things are changing fast. It is particularly refreshing that this happened in the Midwest, which is generally conceived as conservative. The minister thought his mission was to minister to the spiritual needs of his congregation, not to pass judgment. To me, at least, this seems very Christian in the best sense of the concept.

Thanks again!

Christine
