Hi Bill; Still looking at currency moves..signals are down about
like Thursday a week ago..when we had that mini pull back,
yet with the market this high and being even then I was expecting
a bigger pull back, I sure would stay in a sort of alert state,
Monday & Tuesday, I not as ready to buy dips as I was.
BRKA droped 3.2% Friday..that more than she generally moves at
one time..And for some reason this guy is listened to and can
shake the markets.

He is not always right but has an effect.
Cash is still out there but if they sit on it, things could
retreat. It takes buyers to run the market up, it can fall
just on it's own weight like it cost to maintain it..
with spreads get wider with less volume just an equal
amount on the demand / supply side will tick her down,
there has to be some small amount of more demand for her
to stay even.
I'm going to a more cautious frame of mind.
Jim

While we can discuss specific examples, I believe the role of mutual funds is over-hyped in this market. It is the "other" institutional ownership is that is important. Specifically, all the government employees in the Thrift Plan and Millions of other 401(k) participants that put their hard earned investment dollars into, essentially, the S&P 500.

Only about 10% of Mr. Market is owned by Mutual Funds. Leads one to wonder whether Madison Avenue was created by Wall Street or the other way around. It's about time that folks understand that this modern change is increasing and not going to slow down!
