Color me cruel, but I enjoy torturing mushrooms. Dreaded little things&#151I often twist their little stems out, forcing gobs of cheese and crab into their soft caps. Then the Oven. Yes, the Oven. A short visit&#151high in temperature finishes the job.

The mushrooms hate it, popping out of their cartons and scurrying whenever I visit the "I'm OK/You're OK" Desegregated Pagan/Non-Pagan grocery market. They run, they flounder, but they cannot hide.

Penni, as an open, happy and healthy vegisexual (thanks, Tuna, for finally giving me a label I can really call myself), I must commend you for your political support of this unpopular but oh so worthy cause. While we must first unite to save all pumpkins from torture and mutilation, because of their sheer numbers, we then must seriously address cucumber rights as well!!!

Vegisexual and proud!!!

Long live vegetables!!!!

Viva vegisexuals!!!!

Christine

P.S. Do you think Jill has time to add "vegisexual" to the list of SI words? I plan to be using it a lot during the next harvest.
