The transmission of Aids has been a medical disorder effecting thousands yet we ignore it's implications.

Far from it. We're VERY concerned about Aids, however it's transmitted. And now it seems that it's more frequently transmitted by drug addicts than by gay men in the States and Europe. Elsewhere in the world it's a primarily heterosexual disease.

Being gay doesn't mean you're HIV-positive, nor does it mean you're promiscuous. Promiscuity is a choice, as is practicing safe sex.
