>>>Alan, they split the stock and then missed their number. Seems like a major hype to me! It has certainly raised a red flag.<<<<

IRA...

You say in your post that they missed "THEIR" number... I don't agree they missed the "ANALYST's" number... BIG DIFFERENCE...

Ira,

Regarding your message #50032....when I said that IOM did nothing wrong I was responding to a comment regarding illegal activity.

I hated the split, it clearly was not appropriate then or certainly not now. Regarding missing the number, I don't recall much from IOM in the form of comments or press releases that indicated the consensus number would be met or exceeded. Further, I don't believe that the company has historically pre-warned or pre-corrected earnings related issues prior to announcement.

I haven't felt as positive about the company the last year or so as I once did, but I have decided to hold. I still think that this is first a product and consumer story, not a technology story and IOM has made more right moves than wrong in the marketplace. Critics like Rocky always want to ignore the reality of the marketplace and the value of the installed base, name recognition and momentum. Sure the company has disappointed and there are probably better products available now, but, IOM is going to be very, very difficult to catch and topple, 15 million sold!
