Well jackay, all I can say is this about MMX into corp accounts

If I were CPQ sitting on 300,000 MMX machines you bet I would be targeting that to my cutomers, but it won;t be at $800 try $600 or even $500. Problem will be they have an ever shrinking base of customers that want MMX! Dell is on record as stating that 90% of their business is to business. They are also on record as stating that something like 90% of their corp biz is now pentium II not MMX.

are you suggesting that corp customers are going to go back down the processor food chain. Remember that 100MHz FSB bus, Intel's 440BX chipset is just weeks away (all part of what most people call Deuschettes i.e. 2cd generation PII) . are you still sure that corps want to buy MMX?????

yes ASP have and will continue to slip in the corp markets. But as long as dell can hold its margin constant (reduced component costs) and continue to grow revenue then who cares! the stock will continue to move up, people who short it will continue to get very very burned!!!
