>>Anecdotally, one trader indicated Samsung DRAMs, which typically have
commanded a premium due to higher qua1ity, face heavy pressure from lower priced
competitors as customers seem to favor price over quality more than in the past.<<

funny, why mention samsung when mu is getting all premiums. hmmm, i gues that "kick ass" samsung dram just, well, kicks ass. ;-) i guess pricing is pricing now. so, even if mu was getting a premie in the past they aren't now. this just makes the results relatively worse than they would be.

>>Meanwhile, living through the losses can be painful.<<

i didn't think anybody cared about losses ;-)

funny, dram goes from $4.80 to just over $3.00 for asps in one q and eps go from $0.04 to -$0.24 only (and this includes a -$0.10 to -$0.15 for extra depr & amort)? seems we have some math problems. again ;-) i guess they aren't spending their salaries on calculators. ;-)

For what it is worth, second half of Mar is generally not a good time for DRAMs - people not buying anything because they are saving money for Uncle Sam, tax refund not really given out, people awaiting April 1st Intel price cuts etc.

Just went through Warren Buffets Report....pretty tame but I noticed that Buffet is taking positions in commodities OIL SILVER etc...IF MU IR is watching then why not send over some data on DRAM over to Buffets group...I mean ...how much lower can it get...Is there value here now after such a tremendous fall ....hahahaha o my guess fer earnings

-69 cents hahahaha ....6 months from now after all that SEA inventory is gone its another matter...

Oh BTW Buffet knew better to jawbone the mkt again....I mean he is still in stocks even though they are "overpriced" and after GRIM showed him the error in his words last year...hahaha GRIM the equal opportunity ass kicker...( does not matter how rich U R if I tink you are wrong I will say so)
