I can spell things the right way even when I don't know what they mean, Dear Holly Thats why, you my dear, are the envy of my heart! Phonix and "see it say it" or what ever they call it are just baffelling. Sure phonix helps with dipthongs, but do you spell it dypthong or dipthong, I mean a dip stick like me wants to know! And what about when you need a double constanent, the rule has a lot of exceptions! WHere is Phonix when you need it? Then there is the task of simply adding all the words to your mental data base, and that's a job. Hey the easy ones like 'and' or 'the' I can handle but for some reason the older I get the less familiar a lot of words become and I write a lot at work. Come to think of it I get a lot of phone calls about what I wrote, think there's a correlation here? Well one thing is cetain, payday is on the 5th and the 20th, and I have direct deposit, so I don't even have to be there to get paid! Hmmm now see there, it could be payed, or paid. Only one is right and once the spell checker is turned loose it will highlight both the ignorance and the folly, as well as the fumble fingers. But you are right about one thing the most dangerous thing for anyone to do is rely on the spell check for context. That really makes a guy look like a moron. And egos being as thin as they can be, I can't take the stress of bending mine too much - Tensile stregnth you know, real brittle. but IO have cleaned this up as much as I care to, tough on the rest, I am in thearapy and the doc says let it all hang out, I'm trying doc, I'm trying it just aint easy, retentive I guess. ISP is slow again, that is a shame, I get bugged when I have to dial in more than once to just get a line. The monitor has been through the window more times than I can remember, in my mind of course I imagine this taking place. It's cheaper that way. keep smiling jim
