Dan,

You might check out Warburg Pincus Capital Appreciation Fund and the Torray Fund. I believe both have positions in Loral, or at least they did last year. The Torray Fund has beaten the S&P every year from 1994-1997, also both are rated A+ by IBD.

Dear Dan:

You might want to look at the Fidelity Select Defense
and Aerospace fund. As of last August 31, they had positions
in Loral, Globalstar, AsiaSat, Viasat, Titan (parent company
of Linkabit), and Gilat Satellite Networks. Note however that
this fund has underperformed the SP500 over the last 10
years (not a true surprise since the defense sector has
not really been on fire since the demise of the Soviet block).

Good luck,

Bernard Levy
