So the question I ask is don't we expect sometime in the near future
when the public takes this Y2K news more serious that our Stock Market will take a serious crash when investor fear and panic sets in.?? We could be looking at a MAJOR CRASH like never seen before
in the history of the Dow Jones. If so do any of you folks have any timeframes.

Thanks
Eski

Well Mark...smarty pants trader/investor that I am...lol...I have been having some difficulty lately with #5 on your list...SYNT.

In the past I have been successful trading in and out of SYNT as it made its way up to 38. When it fell back to 34 the day after, I bought in again...clever me...looking for a swing trade at 36 again, or even higher...

Last I looked, it was sitting at 31 9/16. Perhaps I should shift this into my long term portfolio...<BG>

I keep a ring binder on my desk that holds my notes and print outs of charts, financials, my portfolio, etc. On the cover I have taped a cartoon from The New Yorker which depicts:

Two tattered, homeless street people are slumped in an alley next to a trash can. They are drinking out of bottles wrapped in paper bags. One is saying to the other: "The one single thought that sustains me is that the fundamentals are good."

Best,
Charliss

My picks for the next several weeks, not in any order, except #1 (gg):

1. ALYD (Note: I am biased on this one, but ALYD is a momentum stock and there have been a rash of announcements lately. I'm looking for 21.5+.)
2. COGIF (Never underestimate the power of a Monk endorsement)
3. ACLY (TG will think of something to say in time for the SPG Conference next week)
4. AGCR (This is cheating. It's a penny stock that got beaten down to nothing when its president was canned without telling investors. It will probably go up on minimal volume. I don't recommend investing in it.)
5. IAIC (No reason other that when this stock gets this low it tends to bounce back rather quickly)

Important note: I am a programmer by trade and thus am reacting solely on gut reaction as opposed to some sort of T/A ability. Also, we're talking short term here, so that excludes some good stocks that have just completed good runs and might be taking a breather for a while. As for TAVA, I would never recommend a stock undergoing warrant conversion as, historically, they get heavily shorted during that period.
