Well, Ignacio, in America each state has its own adoption and custody laws, and family courts. I don't believe anything like that would occur in California, but in states where the conservative Christian beliefs have more of an impact on public concepts of morality and fitness for parenthood, things like that do happen. This situation is changing a little for the better, however. I found a really neat web page for a traveling exhibit of text and photos which goes around America to universities and other places. The goal of the exhibit is to educate people about families with homosexuals in them. I really like the name of the exhibit--Love Makes a Family. javanet.com
