I live in the part of the state that the state tourism bureau calls "The Other Florida". I am not a big fan of tourist traps. I would prefer to be in a situation in which I am less concerned with where I put my money and more concerned with where I put my feet. Full fledged rivers flow crystal clear out of the ground from some springs in Florida, yet some rivers like the Suwannee that flow from wetlands like the Okeefenokee are the color of well steeped tea from tree leaves. Would I lower my body into standing opaque water around here? Take a wild guess!!! Charles, still in one piece.
