Now how could that be the case, the K6 has only been out for about a year.

I would say AMD probably has a better chance flooding the market with cheap K6s than Intel has flooding it with expensive Pentium IIs.

AMD has managed to know 10% points off Intel's margins with a crippled manufacturing effort. Think of the pain that will be inflicted if those 70% yield rumors come true....

Stocky,
amd was just warming up. And look how much trouble they caused for intel during warm-up period. Can you imagine the impact once production starts.....
