ed, Please, take your medicine! Compaq buy out RadioShake [sic]!!!!!!!!!! RadioShack wouldn't need to earn money selling computers if Compaq owned them!? Please! Take your medicine! And try to get some rest.

The purchase of Radio Shack by CPQ is interesting. I'm not sure that Radio Shack has the "PC" reputation that the CompUSAs, Stapels, Office Max, Micro Age have. Radio Shack might come with considerable baggage which is not directly related to the CPQ core business. If CPQ was considering the retail business, they might be better off using their own name, developing a full service operation including repair, and offering a full line of software, printers, parts, etc. However, they might be biting off more then they can chew.
