As for my experience on speed, I have executed trades (not options, mind you), and have gotten almost instananeous messages confirming all my trades. And, yes, the last confirmation quote is a real-time quote. I am seriously considering Brown & Company for a second IRA account. Has anyone traded with them online? You can't access any of their trading or research pages to know whether you will like it ahead of time. Datek is certainly appealing, but I like the portfolio management of E-trade better, as well as the 1 minute/5 minute/Daily/Weekly/ and monthly charting, and the Java interactive charting. I didn't see any of that at Datek, but I may not have been looking in the right spot. People on Ameritrade board slam their own stock, so would avoid them. Any info on Brown & Company would be appreciated.
