You should go back and read prior 1000 posts before jumping into your
conclusion.

The driving force is revenue/net income, as you always described in
Compaq board.

Probably you should go to Dell or Gateway to see what they are
standing at right now. One is at 50 PE, another is at 58. Shorting
them probably is more appropriate if talking about fundamental.

Van, A lot of people think APple will try to manage a smaller share profitable with no assorted sistractions to waste money on. A lot of deadwood has been tossed away(both product lines and people). What is left makes money and even though they lose share they can still profit. Remember the Apple groupies are all concentrated and Apple has margin. The Wintels are a thousand strong with only a few bigger than Apple, collectively they outsell apple by over 30:1, but they will only out profit Apple by 5:1 to 10:1 after the under $1000 PCs kill everyones margins and Apple gets a fall/winter 98 season under the belt. I stiff suspect there will be a profit fall off in the summer as Apples main markets die all summer long.
Takeover??, who knows, might be a market crash too, or a long slow slide and the sub $1000 PCs kill margins and profits.
