Paul...Let's say price is too high...Have we ever heard that argument before?...In the long term it's probably low, that is if you think the price will double from current prices in say, 2 years at most (50% gain per year on that basis - not bad).....I say double in price in 2 years as a, well, worst-case scenario....Probably more than that in actuality-----Therefore, looking at the big picture, is it really that high?....I don't think so.

You brought up a good point I had not really thought about before...In order for CPQ and others to price-blast their older inventory on the channel's shelves they WILL be cannibalizing their own higher profit units at the same time....

I think DELL is in fine shape to take advantage of the current situation, and at a cheap price too (looking 2 years ahead)..:-)....George
