Rog,

I agree. Some things aren't meant for such an environment. Also, how the app is setup and used matters also. For example, if I had a whole crew of (or even a few) users that were to be working on significant Powerpoint presentations, they'd have their own workstations. Powerpoint is too graphics intensive to work well on Winframe.

Excel, as most users us it, can get buy ok on a strong machine. Access, even on a standalone computer, can be a dog depending on how the application program is built. Good programmers can make it work pretty well(on a good server).

Either way, I believe that Winframe can be utilized in numerous situations to a great benefit to the customer. Look at the positive attitudes of the posters/users on this thread. They wouldn't be so enthusiastic if the software wasn't that useful or that good. There has been too many successes with Winframe(I've seen some killer success). While agreed that it doesn't work well and shouldn't be used in some cases. But that is the way it is with anything. As Scotty(Star Trek) says - "How man-ee time must I tell ya' the right tool for th' right job".

Cheers. Happy trading. Cover your short. -N

P.S. Everyone. Let's hear some success stories you've seen.

P.S.S. Roger, have you tried Winframe on a fast multiprocessor machine? Excel won't suck-up multiple processors.
