The Esso well was shut in at 08:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, March 15,1998. Prior to the shut in the flare looked pretty much as it has throughout the entire 5 day test. While I was there a wireline truck drove onto the lease and was preparing to "run into the well". Perhaps to retrieve a "bottomhole choke"????? The real question is will they replace it with a larger choke and resume testing at a higher rate? Oh well, what's a few more 30 mile trips to find out, hey? My estimate is that to this point in time Esso will have only used something in the order of 15-20 MMCF of their 50 MMCF flare permit so additional testing can be still be undertaken. I will believe that the near term testing is complete only when the flare stack comes down (if it hasn't already).

Also, two oil tankers drove onto the lease (they were sitting "high" on their springs when they went onto the lease. I didn't wait for them to leave, but there is no doubt in my mind that they'd be "low" when they left).

Given the short duration of this production test, I'll bank on the OIL with solution gas scenario.

P.S. -Until S.I. receives my cheque, I'm limited to 3 posts per day. So, I've shot my wad for the day guys. Sorry to be "mysterious" but thems the breaks!!

P.S.#2-BearcatBob(#535), I'll try and get something together for you (if MadMouse can't in the meantime).
