Yes, I'm happy that he finally came out with a book about inventing
in the tornado ... As you know, Moore came out with "Crossing the Chasm" and "Inside the Tornado."

BTW, if you get the chance, Michael Murphy also has new book on
Tech Investing ... Check it out ...

Another good book is by Don Tapscott called "Growing Up Digital"

Also, by the time the "Gorilla Game" was published, Moore was
still undecided whether to dump NSCP or not ...

I'm sure you know that whap happened to NSCP since then
biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com
fnews.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com

Any chance that NSCP will be the Gorilla in E-Commerce?
What do you think?

Good Luck

C/C, I think the book may create a short term opportunity for gains in "Gorilla Candidates". I added to my positions in VNTV, MANU and ITWO today because I think they are great companies but more immediately because the "Gorilla Game" may become a best seller. If it does, these stocks will never be cheap again, just like PSFT and SAP. I think that the book tour may start soon and positive reviews will be published. If it has good reviews, every fund manager and private investor will want to own the best gorilla candidates and will push the prices of these stocks to extreme valuations in a short period of time.

To get a sense test on this, I searched on the word "Gorilla" (full text mode) on SI's home page last Saturday. Only about six people have mentioned the book in posts. So, the word about the book is not generally out yet. It only came to my local bookstore on Wednesday of last week.

However, the six-point rise in VNTV's stock last week and the strength that ITWO has shown recently may discount a lot of the book's effect already. But it is possible that if the book takes off, further price increases could become self-fulfilling.

Regards
David

Clam squared;

Great idea, I saw Geoff speak last year in Seattle. I'm currently reading a technical analysis book, and my next book will be the crying....I mean Gorilla game. Will lurk quietly.
