Hi Wallstreeter, As you can see there is very little agreement on any part of the Bible. To me this is because God deals with all of us as individuals hand made special treasures. The big issues like Jesus died for our sins, was raised from the dead, and was God incarnate, should not be a problem, but get into prophecy and watch out. If there were 3 people you would probably get 3 opinions. Here are my opinions of the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, 1. It is almost a duplicate of the Book of Daniel, even the authors are similar in their relationship to the Lord. 2. It is a sealed book and no one can add or take away from the book without penalty and those who study it will receive a special blessing. It seems to me that the Lord put His Truth about the future in the OT and NT to let all people know what is to come. He says in the OT that He tells us the future so we will know it is He who has spoken it and performed it and He will always reveal the Truth. When Jesus was questioned about prophecy He said when you see a cloud coming you say it will rain and it does, how is it you can not see the times. That is how I look at Revelations and end time prophecies as the cloud gets closer we will see more clearly, how fast it is coming what type it is etc... The scripture will become clearer and there will be less chance for error and discrediting the Word of God. So many have said this is it so many times that I encounter people all the time that say I have heard this before and mock the prophecies because of careless errors. The main thing is to walk with Jesus and He will reveal the meaning of the scriptures as the time for comes for us to know. Also, some knowledge of the OT scripture (the root of the NT) help to understand the plans of God. May the Lord bless you today, Nancy
