How many K6's shipped to boxmakers in Q198? That is the question. If I go by the presence of K6 boxes in stores, I'd say more than 2 million. If I go by recent stock price action (18 to 22+) I'd say 2.5 million. If I go by silence from AMD (not normally shy about hyping new customers and positive earnings news) I'd say 1.5 million. If I were a wild-eyed optimist I'd say 3.5 million. If I were among the typical posters to this thread I'd say 4+ million. We'll know in a month. My own guess is that they shipped in excess of 2 million meaning they are getting around 10% of Intel's 20+ million cpu shipments.

Good investing to all,
Burt
