Ignacio, I agree that water would not remain on the surface for any length of time. In post 3745 I said that water may be trapped below the surface for long periods, as it is on Earth. It is not inconceivable that water pockets exist. In fact, rising vapor may account for the ice crystals on the surface. Water trapped deep underground would not be subject to the radiation, vacuum, and cold at the surface, and may be there long enough for life to evolve.

I am aware that my claims of life on the moon seem preposterous, but I believe it is too early to rule it out below the surface.
