All: Some people just don't like success. Jesse B. attacks Intel again, claiming dominance and control and stomping out competition. A company gets to the top through competition and paranoia, Jesse. And chip prices are falling, not being kept artificially high.

Gene,

RE: BizWeek, Cheap PC's, Model "T" of digital age.

The Model T analogy is not bad considering that that car did raise the percentage of ownership substantially. How long did it take for those Model T owners to know that they wanted to upgrade to something better?

The same thing will happen to the Model T computers that will be sold to them over the next few years.

Remember how many car companies there were in the 20's? How many now?
Same thing will happen to the boxmakers.

IMO, Intel and Microsoft will be the biggest winners - along with the networkers/telcos like Cisco and Lucent.
