The price cuts across the industry illustrates the serious inventory buildup that is not company specific. Today Iomega's profit warning adds further fuel to the fire. I think any sort of positions in hardware spells dead money at least in the short term.
I think anyone who sells to the channel is having a harder and harder time predicting demand with the rise of web based and mail order and the lightning quick depreciation of components has made this an industry that only has room for two types, the quick and the dead.
I think its time to pause and reevaluate who is going to survive this shift underway.
