Apparently they were making up some of those numbers in the past, (which is quicker :) and also paying less attention to the Q ending status of channel inventory. And now there is more emphasis on being exactly right. They also have a lot of significant transactions in foreign currencies, and foreign offices have to get their figures done first.

I would expect all of these things to affect the amount of time required to produce the reports. Also ponderous nit-picky deliberation is probably the right note to strike in comparison to the hype of the past given the outcomes of last year. Especially given the volatility of the stock.
