Typical kneejerk reaction to the market. CPQ goes to 25 and people increase the short position. ALA rises $5 and now folks want to buy at 52 week high's. No one ever said the market was logical.

Frankly I'm considering buying more QCOM in the not too distant future. MSFT has a ton of negative press on not only DOJ front, but now the preliminary testing of WIN 98 isn't all that stellar. Yet it's the stock to own at PE 54???????

Retail broker's still are touting drilling and oil stocks when oil is at below $14/bbl and headed towards $12. OPEC in disarray and more oil coming on stream from non-OPEC, with Asia dumping oil stocks and car being repo. Go figure. Buy on panic and negative news, sell when they talk about the next MSFT. Look at IOM and folks are running up Yahoo?? Go figure.

The Eric Cartman's grow into investors, I guess children's........... (for those that haven't discover this bit of humour checkout South Park on Wednesday's at 10 EST on the Comedy Channel). Kick Ass!! Sweet!! Beefcake!!!!!!!

To all,

Bell Atlantic Mobile started running TV commercials prominently featuring Qualcomm handsets (I believe it's the 820 model). They mention it by name and the camera zooms in so you can clearly read the Qualcomm name.
