If earnings this Friday and the way the stock is acting today, then its not good news. It looks like the price is going to 10% below its 9 day moving average first (about 32) and then to 10% below its 9 week moving average or about 30 before its safe to even think about buying. Other than that its just being day traded to death up and down
a 16th.

UNLESS they report in the am...(not likely) 3com will not report friday....no one every reports earnings on friday unless its in the pre-open...and I cant remember if 3com ever reported in the am...your friend may be misinformed.
