Hello folks! Here is a recap of recent financing activities by Zenith to keep the ship afloat until the big pay-offs begin to happen as we all expect. Based on these numbers, it doesn't appear that Zenith will go bankrupt or that ZE would have problem supporting its ventures. Now that LGE has emeged stronger than anticipated, do any of you out there expect a credit revision upward in the coming weeks? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GLENVIEW , Ill., April 2, 1997 -- Zenith Electronics Corporation (NYSE:ZE) has obtained nearly $400 million in new financing. The commitments include a $110 million asset-backed credit facility and a $200 million trade receivables securitization, provided by a banking group led by Citicorp, and an $87 million leveraged lease transaction, facilitated by Salomon Brothers. GLENVIEW, Ill., Nov. 5, 1997 - Zenith Electronics Corporation (NYSE:ZE) today announced a series of financing transactions that will enhance the company's liquidity and financial flexibility. The company said it has obtained a total of $60 million in unsecured and uncommitted credit facilities through two $30 million lines of credit with Bank of America and First Chicago NBD. As part of this new financing, Zenith is calling its 8.5 percent senior subordinated convertible debentures due November 2000 with a call date of Dec. 5, 1997, and a call price of 104. The company also plans to call its 8.5 percent senior subordinated convertible debentures due January 2001 with a call date in January 1998. The current amount outstanding is $23,750,000 for the debentures due November 2000 and $550,000 for the debentures due January 2001. GLENVIEW, Ill., Dec. 24, 1997 - Zenith Electronics Corporation (NYSE:ZE)has signed a $20 million one-year credit agreement with Societe Generale. GLENVIEW, Ill., Feb. 6, 1998 -- Zenith Electronics Corporation (NYSE:ZE) has signed a $30 million credit agreement with Credit Agricole Indosuez. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
