The Vog was bad on the dry side (Kona) from time to time. There was no rain the entire time we were there except over Kona in the late afternoon. We stayed in a condo of some friends of ours north of Kona about 20 miles. Went to Kiloea and saw a surface eruption that flowed to the sea..Pretty Impressive! got it on video tape! Boy is the island big, you could overlay all the other islands over Hawaii and there would still be room for more. We racked up about 600 miles on our rental car! They are in drought mode and there was a forest fire on Oaho. The boogy boarding was great!
