a roaming agreement does not necessitate, assistance to the roaming customer. You named 3 manufacturers, but Ericsson has said nothing. Sure they acquired Orbitel here in the UK. But, Ericsson has said absolutely nothing regarding Globalstar. In year 1 the proforma that Loral out was for 100K handsets. OK let's say Qualcom builds 50K and Telital builds 25k and Ericsson 25k. WOW! Qualcomm and Ericsson could build this during a morning coffee break!!

No I have not had the priviledge of attending the events. But, again, my point is, add all of the distribution costs into the model. Where is the push by Globalstar. Iridium had another announcement today regarding Japan. They predict more sales in Japan in year 1 than Globalstar predicts in the entire network!! From what I understand, there hasn't even been a site selected for the Japanese gateway for Globalstar.

Do you agree, that the best network will not necessarily prove to be the most widely used?
