A couple things: First, you probably know that I made complaint to Jill re the big hurling of insults the other night. I felt pushed over the edge for a couple of reasons, the main one being, after we supposedly settled our personal dispute by ourselves, your last words to me were "good night FINK, I always knew you were an ash-hole..mt st
helens and all that". I was stunned that someone would apologise, wait until the person accepted the apology (both publicly), then privately call them an ass-hole at the last instant before parting ways. I still can't figure out why you would do something like
that, because certainly it made me feel like I had been a sucker for accepting your apology; it seemed your intent in hurling the one last insult was that I should know that you really weren't sorry at all.
Next, I saw your next messages (to other people not me, I acknowledge) were "I hate bigots" and then those vile words you used simply because someone had posted some scripture...even if it was a new version of the Bible that didn't get translated in a way
you agree with, I mean I agree that there's parts of the newer Bibles that get translated in ways that I may not agree with either---but to openly slander and vilify the Bible with
no further explanation; it seemed highly unnecessary, highly offensive to the Christian religion, etc,, and so that was when I sent the e-mail to Jill.
Re homosexuals---I do not think it is right to deny homosexuals the right to work, the right to eat, the right to breath, the right to enjoy public parks, etc. However, I will forever retain my right to my religion, and my religion says that homosexual acts are sin,
that fornication is sin, drunkenness is sin; adultery is sin, stealing is sin, etc. And I resent the implication from non-religious people that my church's ministers should feel obligated to change their religious teaching, simply because a certain class of people
have become comfortable with their sin. Next thing will be adulterers wanting ministers to stop preaching that adultery is a sin. Next thing, there won't be any sinners left, because nobody wanted anyone's feelings hurt, and what you have left is a bunch
supposed Christians living in all manner or immorality, etc. The minister's job in My Christian church is to preach the gospel and all of the bible, and in order for people to even become cognisant of their sin, sin must be preached. Further, good morals
strengthen the family ties, are good in the sight of God, etc.
Finally, I am self-employed. I work in a home office, and I live alone. In my situation, if I were to hire a person for day help (which I've considered), I wouldn't want, in my situation, to have a homosexual as my employee. I feel I have a right to some choices
of who I would hire. And if they didn't tell me they were gay at first, but then told me later after I hired them, I feel I have the moral and legal right to fire them. Publicy held companies and govt work is a different story. There, gays should have a right to work.
Those are my views. If they are offensive to you, so be it.
I don't know what Jill has done yet about my e-mail to her complaining about you. I felt like you forced me into it, by for practical personal purposes nullifying your apology, which made me feel foolish.
