Hi Jim (#582\#587\#588), Keith (#577\#580), BearcatBob(#579\#535\#581), TeeVee(#598). Sorry to combine all these but I need to conserve number of postings because of my current 3/day limit. Guess I should have paid S.I. with credit card as it appears that our mail service to USA is still by Pony Express! Jim(582) - The 20-30 ft. pipe you refer to would be the "lubricator" used by the wireline companies to gain access to the wellbore with their tools. Jim(587) - My understanding of the geology and the 2 distinct "plays" is that all lands shown for the April 1 sale relate to and would be of interest to the Esso/BEA/STF/BKP play. The other lands (April 15 sale) relate to and are of interest to the Shell play. Comments? Jim(588) - Thanks. Keep me current on flare stack status if you can. (Until it is down, additional testing is a possibility). And, with the huge dump of snow we had last night (A 100 year event), I didn't get out to the well and it'll be 24 hours or more b4 I make it out there again. Keith(577)- Your explanation is acknowledged. Your UNNECESSARY apology is certainly accepted. Contrary to what the market suggests, the TV Play is not a closely guarded secret in Calgary. Regrettably, a lot of folks remember their 1993/1994 disappointments and today can be characterized by "I'll believe it when I see it". (I know they're going to SEE IT on April 2 when the land bids are public info, but that's too late to help BEA/STF.) Also, because of depressed oil prices many investors are shying away from ALL oil/gas stocks. For another example of a highly leveraged junior play that's doing nothing just look at the Strachan Devonian Play of Tusk Energy/Dalton Resources/First Star/Loon Energy/Apache Canada. With a well now drilling for a prize of 1-2 TCF, these juniors should all be flying but they aren't. TRIVIA FOR THIS THREAD: Go to http:/www.daltonr.com/activity.html and check out the map referenced therein. For your info, it was Jack McLeod (then the Chief Geologist of a participant) that was responsible for the drilling of the discovery well of the 1.8 TCF Strachan D3A Pool shown in the bottom of that map. A few years later, McLeod discovered the 800 BCF Stolberg Field just some 50 miles west. I won't mention some of the other "biggies" he has found (I don't want to be nominated as president of his fan club). "So what's the point of these accolades?", you ask. Only to demonstrate that he does have the vision and the talent required to find the big ones!!! Keith(#580)- Thanks. May need to later. BearcatBob(#579)- Certainly. BearcatBob(#535/#581)- I will try and work on this a bit later today. Would be a piece of cake if I could only "draw" on my computer. Any suggestions? I have a CAD program but it is not at all suited for free-hand stuff\illustrations. (I'll see if I can get some time on my office partner's Accumap System today and if so use it for the task. Damn, even at my age, I still hate asking Geologists for help!!!) TeeVee(#598)- Welcome to the thread. It's obvious to me that you have worked/studied the TV area and do have a solid understanding of the geology (I'm sure a lot better than mine). Is there any chance that you can easily throw together the Mississippian TV schematic that BearcatBob is looking for (Re: Post #535 / #581)?
