Citrix Appoints Managing Director for Europe, Middle
East and Africa

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 1998--Citrix Systems, Inc.
(Nasdaq:CTXS - news) today announced the appointment of Michael Wendl as Managing
Director of the company's new European headquarters, which opened in February in Munich,
Germany. Wendl will oversee Citrix operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

''Citrix has laid a strong foundation for thin-client/server computing in EMEA through our
award-winning WinFrame(R) system software and ICA(R) technology,'' said Mark Templeton,
President of Citrix. ''Michael's strong engineering and sales experience make him a valuable
addition to the company. Additionally, we believe the recent opening of our European
headquarters will further accelerate the adoption of our thin-client/server software solutions in the
region.''

Prior to joining Citrix, Wendl was director of Conner Peripherals' European OEM business. He
also worked for VLSI as Managing Director for Central Europe.

Following his university studies in electrical engineering, Wendl started his career with distributors
Kontron and Metrologie, and was appointed to his first international management position for
U.S.-based Scientific Micro Systems, where he assumed responsibility for sales in Central
Europe. From 1987 to 1992, he managed his own company, Dino Computer GmbH, which
specialized in the sales of peripheral equipment, primarily for workstations.
