The mermaid was not Star-Kist's icon. Nooo, that proto-Disneyan character touted a clandestinely mammal-rich competing blend known as Chicken of the Sea. Tastes like ...tuna? Smells like...chicken? Do you sea what I sea? The convergence is nothing short of mystical. Perhaps these two cosmic forces are manifestations of the same mandala-shaped casserole, or <blank> salad sandwich.
