this is just my opinion...but base on current earnings estimates which I think is fair...I would not pay more than 18-20 for Apple shares and that is generous given their historical top line growth has been negative in recent years...this accounts for my own risk preference and comparable investments...BTW, analyst estimates for LT growth for AAPL is a dismal 5% (with current information)

now forget about the short term for the moment..if you are holding for the long term...wouldnt you rather own CPQ...earnings for the year 0.88 and in 99 1.63...for AAPL its $1.08 98 and 1.32 fy99...and CPQ, in 1/2 to 1 year can be compared to HWP and IBM...because of their DEC and TDM acquisition...with CPQ I see growth potential

for the short term...CPQ is weak and will get weaker...AAPL is plain and simply overvalued...

AAPL needs to show more IMO
