Thanks, Thean. I'm also thinking that the lease sale is already skewed in favor of the deep guys, so that's where I will stay for now.

Bought a little bit of RIG today. I'll keep an eye on FLC tomorrow.

Thean..I am posting some messages from the Yahoo board of last week concerning FLC. This guy "rattod" started this rumor, which might have some merit.....I am posting his messages & some responses:
I, by the way, sold my FLC shares into the strength this morning for a loss...and will wait to change horses once some rebound is evident for the sector.
So, here are the posts:

<Rumor has it that the Falcon Deepwater team is going to depart the new R&B Falcon, anyone know where these guys are going? I am curious as this was the team that made Falcon a leader in deepwater in less than 3 years! Doesn't management of R&B Falcon know what they would lose??!>

<Rumors should not be spread. FLC is adding to its deep water fleet. The CEO was on CNBC a few weeks back and mentioned this. Why would they merge with R & B only to slice off the part of the company that they wish to expand?>

<What was said is that the Falcon depwater boys are quite dissatisfied with the merger, and the course of management in restructuring the new R&B Falcon. Yes the company may have further deepwater plans, however if they lose this key core group of employees who have demonstarted their abilities and aggressive expansion tactics, what happens?? The rumor was not about a 'spin off' but a mass defection of the key personnel that are essential to their deepwater success.>

<I have heard something similar. The Falcon Deepwater guys really desreve alot of recognition, as this is what generated the strength for Falcon to take on R&B! I believe that Steve Webster realizes the 'pot of gold' that Steve Meheen ( Vice President Deepwater ) and his group brought to Falcon, and I would expect that Webster has offered very lucrative employment contracts to keep these people,as such I believe that Rattod is full of crap! Wbster knows every goose that lays golden eggs!>

This is of WTI Crude, which runs about 1 to 1.5 $ per barrel lower than Light Sweet Crude. Looks like good support at 12 or 13, which means support at 13 or 14 for Light Sweet crude. I get the price today at 13.28 for light sweet crude. I would say we are at the support levels. You have to go back to 1978 and before to get lower levels than this.

I think we will get good support at 13. If not, we have a paradign shift, and my whole portfolio will go into the trash.
