There is at least one other investor. I was in the motion picture industry until just recently, with Imax Corporation. Now sort of retired, consulting and living off investments.

I've held AVID since last July at $23 or so, and held it once in the past as well. Also had SGI for a while, but bailed out on that.

I am looking at AVID purely on industry fundamentals, both movies (with the high costs and long times for editing) and for TV (where will all the programming come from for all the new channels?)

We seem to share a few other interests, IPV for example. I first met them in San Jose at a Society for Information Display conference and liked the idea of auto adjustment and inspection for TV and computer monitors. Am hanging on to that one patiently waiting for it to be noticed.

I stick mostly in HiTech, and a lot in Canada (RRSP's). Perhaps we can trade ideas on co's to watch.

Thanks,

Mike
