Oscar-winning director of "Midnight Cowboy," John Schlesinger, presented the
award-winning filmmakers of tomorrow with more than $25,000 worth of prizes at the 3rd
Annual Teen Digital Movie-Making Competition.

Narrowed down from 61 entries worldwide, the finalists' films were screened Saturday at the
Fiesta Five Theater as part of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. After the
screenings, the awards ceremony took place, with the Best of Show and Best of Santa
Barbara awards presented by Schlesinger.

The Best of Show winners, Christopher Carlston and David Cunliffe from Skyline High
School in Salt Lake City received Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere, $500 Certificate
for MetaCreations software, Media Cleaner Pro from Terran Interactive, Syquest SyJet drive
with cartridge, CalComp UltraSlate 6X9 drawing tablet with software, "Planetary Traveler"
video from Third Planet Entertainment and Intel Bunny Person Replica.

As the sponsoring school of the winning entry, the Skyline High School received a $3,000
Technology Grant from MetaCreations, an Intel Pentium II processor-based system with
Share & Play digital camera pack, Adobe After Effects, Total Training After Effects and Final
Effects training video series, MetaCreations' Final Effects Complete, Infini-D and Bryce 3D
and Syquest SparQ drive with cartridge.

The Best of Santa Barbara winners, Eliot Kapit and Andrew Burk from Santa Barbara
Middle School, received one week's tuition at American Computer Experience's Summer

Schlesinger is one of the most prominent filmmakers of our time, a man who has received
virtually every major award and honor that the film industry could bestow.

He won the Oscar as Best Director for his film "Midnight Cowboy," which also won the
Oscar for Best Film, and the British Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Film. He
has won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival (for his film "Terminus"), the Golden
Bear at the Berlin Film Festival (for "A Kind of Loving"), the New York Critics Award and an

film festival awards, as well as awards for his stage work.

The 1998 Teen Digital Movie-Making Competition, sponsored by MetaCreations Corp, Intel
Corp. and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, is designed to encourage students
between 13 and 19 enrolled in school to learn the art of digital design and multimedia
production through the use of creative desktop software programs, digital cameras, scanners
and other accessories. The competition was open to two-person teams, with each team
creating a 60-second digital video, using official audio and video material supplied by
MetaCreations in one of four interpretive categories: Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi and Western.

For its third year, the Teen Digital Movie-Making Competition received support from an
advisory board, consisting of luminaries from the film, digital graphics and education industries.

I attempted to post this earlier, but lost the thread (?) or wherever I was, so please accept my apology. I am hopeful that the person I was talking to sees this.

IOM reported thru Reuters and MSNBC that 1st Qtr. loss would be $10 to $25 million; negative cash flows; shortfall of sales in all regions.
On top of all this good news, delays cost $20 million and they are involved in litigation regarding Insider Selling 9/22 - 1/22, when stock peaked to $16.00 sh.

If this breaks below 6 5/16 we could be facing $3.
