nice review and update on MACRNew Products Well Received By Seybold Attendees - At the Seybold industry trade show in New York, (March 16-20)
Macromedia's booth attendance was strong. In particular, attendees emphasized a high level of interest in the Company's
DreamWeaver Web authoring application, along with a high interest in the recently announced FireWorks web graphics application (expected to ship in the June quarter 1998).
Initial downloads of the beta version of FireWorks have exceeded initial downloads of the beta version of the now shipping and successful DreamWeaver product. Our
confidence in the success of the FireWorks product is based on the strong number of FireWorks beta downloads, in combination
with the positive feedback from show attendees. Importantly, we expect FireWorks to ship as scheduled in the June quarter,
and believe a favorable launch could translated to upside to our $0.04 June EPS estimate. Additional key products expected
in the June quarter include Flash 3 and the Flash Generator (server product). This favorable product cycle improves our
earnings confidence for fiscal 1999.
