Doug - thx. Yes, chartwise, I think we [you, me, Dave and others] all agree it is not a good short term chart; however, I would submit that signs of CS's problems happened even BEFORE it bought DEC networking division. Why, CS has 2 bad Qs, an aging product line, its investment in Ipilson didn't pan out, and DEC networking division has not been healthy either. So, in hintsight, CS had it coming. Now, in terms of BAY, the short term negatives are its traditional weak Q, the CFO's comment and the much suspected product transition.

In a way, I understand where you are coming from. Being a TA apprentice, I would echo similar sentiment (yours and briefing.com): charts don't lie. Having said that, sometimes a chart can assume a life of its own. I remember Messr Weinstein of the Prof Tape Reader fame one time commented on NBR (about 3 years ago) why C was so terrible (in 94/95.) He attributed that to the chart!

Well, after peeking at that chart I don't want to go there. Since when did Bay catch leprosy?
