I would contact GIC direct, you should have a prospectus or something already which addresses tax issues. I take it this is a US company, anyway go back to the discount company with the ruling (should say something about not being a taxable benifit) and get them to change. If they will not write the president of the discount firm, you will get an answer and if still not reversed just subtract it on your taxes and provide a brief explanation if you think its necc. Its a pain, however no other choice... Scott
