The press release from 1/28/98 states, "Maxam consultants, Hewlett Mineral Management, and Max Cooley performed 'chain of custody' procedures on the ores from the two pits to LeDoux"

Dr. Johnson never provided COC work for Naxos. That was done by BD.
It is ludicrous to think that Hewlett and Cooley are impartial enough to provide COC work.

I did not want to start a naxos/Maxam flame war. However I told Richard that I would be happy to accomodate him if he wanted to continue baiting us, mostly with half-truths. I could have gone over to the Maxam thread and stated these things, but I decided it wouldn't be fair to the many good people over there. I am, however, willing to let it drop here and now.
