Mel, Not that the situations are similar, but I thought you might like to browse the patent infringement
situation at REF, just to compare to GIFT. REF goes to trial this summer in US District Court of Mass. against ZOOM for patent infringement of their licensed Storer patent which covers v.42 bis modems. Hayes recently settled with REF, and ZOOM may settle
before the actual trial date, but doubtful. Supposedly, a slew of modem manufacturers would be liable if this comes to a verdict, so I might speculate that the commencement of the trial would raise the temperature of trading for these issues. REF owns
700,000 shares of KEY.
