Micron (MU) lost .23.....the co. that makes Micron computers (MUEI) had better results. FWIW, MUEI DID experience some sales gloom..... mostly in the notebook area. Seems like they ran into that old bugaboo of selling 'em for less than cost. At least KE hasn't fallen into this trap YET! More FWIW, box makers should be making a few bucks on every ZIP included.....if not they need new pricing strategy.

Rocky,

On careful analysis of Micron's losses, you will find that the majority is in Dram. Trust me , I know , I am associated with the Dram industry for 15 years and we have never shipped more product and lost more money in the history of the product line. The only positive that Micron has is it's PC and Contract Mfg. business. Although it is nothing to shout about, it is not that bad compared to everything else.

Zip Drives in Desktops and Towers will only progress. The question is can Iomega capitalize thier current position and grow profitably. This is a big If. But I am long and someone has to beleive.

Regards,
