Michael - Thanks, the crime is that anybody who can get out at the levels is running as fast as they can. If not, I don't know why not.

Thanks Michael,

A few Gems from Stewart/Emerald (there are many more):

>>Upcoming Notable Events:
Nevada Beta Test - It is our understanding that Nevada is currently awaiting the final module of the MatriDigm program which is expected by the first week of November (1996).<<

>>Unlike most companies that are on aggressive ramps, MatriDigm could potentially build its first conversion facility and immediately be backlogged for several quarters in advance by early 1997.<< [That's why ZITL hasn't anounced any contracts at all: MD is already backlogged with its 2 or 3!]

>>MatriDigm conversion line could convert approximately 18 billion lines of code from the beginning of 1997 through the end of 1999. This would account for less than 10 percent of the estimated
200 billion lines of problem code in the U.S.<< [Uhm, only 17.99 billion LOC to go! Or rather, they are now supposed to reap great profits processing only 1/100 of their original estimate--if they ever get/finish even that!]

Also, I had not heard or considered this before:
>>The use of the MatriDigm software will require the use of significant quantities of Zitel's CASD storage products boosting demand for Zitel's core product lines.<<
Since the MD "solution" requires all code to be taken off the mainframe, they would need the extra storage. Obviously the market has weighed in on its opinion of having to purchase increasingly outdated ZITL CASD, for a an untried solution, with an ephemeral warranty, when many other solid options exist (e.g. CA).

Regards, Greg
