jeff, i think this $80 million plus loss will educate those that think gross cost is the only cost that matters. net cost is the true indicator. this is horrible with dram in the low $2s. how much more a beating can mu sustain? another $80 mill next q as the asians aggressively reduce their shrinks instead of building new fabs?

i'd hate to have this company owe me money ;-)

Operating income of -$207mill, gain of $157mill....leads to a loss of $50 mill....about 23 cents!!

TAKE OUT THE one time gain and you have a loss of -$207mill.....that's about $1/share!!!
