you are pretty smart and very articulate, and I do respect your opinion.

I agree with what you say about "that to grow beyond a certain point
you have to enter new markets". but in my opinion the new markets are clustered NT servers. And in my opinion CPQ was (and still is) tracking just fine toward that market, with or without TANDEM or DEC. now their load they must carry is just that much heavier.

IMHO CPQ bought DEC for one and only one reason, and it has nothing to do with cash flows or the starship USS Enterprise NC1701.

Which all leads me to my next dilemna. Is this conversation that I am participating in on this thread adding value to me or anyone else.
And if so what is the next topic of conversation (can we all agree to disagree on DEC thing for now)

Since I am still finding this conversation of value (and several folks have suggested the same) here is the next topic of conversation I would like to try and lead a discussion around..............

What is CPQs current relationship with their 7 largest customers and what will that relationship be next year? More importanly how will the answers to these questions impact earnings over the next 8 quarters?
