Banchee, The reverse split serves two theoretical purposes: First, and most obvious, it is a defense (although not a complete defense) to being thrown off NASDAQ. Second, the institutional investors have said there are too many shares issued for a company of this size, and therefore, they want the shares reduced. I believe that before April 20, we will see a flurry of announcements along with a statement that the 1:10 reverse split happened. It could happen this week. I base this on the fact that the time to issue the 10K and 10Q for 4Q 97 is running out.
