There's an awful lot of optimism around. Here's something to cool the flames just a little.

Economists Warn of Higher Inflation
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Federal Reserve has become too complacent about inflation and needs to begin raising interest rates
immediately to keep price pressures from getting out of control, a
group of prominent economists said. The Shadow Open Market
Committee, a watchdog group that closely follows central bank
policies, said today it had become concerned about a sharp increase
in growth of the nation's money supply over the past six months.
''It is irresponsible to ignore the increased money growth of the
past six months,'' the group said. The shadow group is composed of
some of the country's most prominent monetarists, economists who
believe that changes in the rate of growth of the money supply are
the best way to predict changes in inflation.
